Oluwafemi Gbadebo Akinlosotu is a Nigerian-born technologist, writer, and competitive Scrabble champion residing in Germany. Oluwafemi was born in Ondo, a culturally vibrant town in Ondo West Local Government, southwestern Nigeria. His youth unfolded within a large blended family of ten siblings and step-siblings. His father, both a respected businessman and the king of their tribe, and his mother, a celebrated fashion designer, infused Oluwafemi’s early years with cultural richness and strong values.

Growing up amidst laughter, camaraderie, and the lively atmosphere of a communal town, he attended St. Raphael’s Kiddies School in Ondo. From a young age, Oluwafemi displayed academic talent, excelling in mathematics, spelling, science, and other subjects. One of his most treasured memories is his father’s coronation as king in 1998, an event that drew the entire family together and marked a turning point in his appreciation for heritage and identity. Oluwafemi’s curiosity led him to explore his roots, as he questioned his father about their family's history, sparking the lifelong pursuit of knowledge and self-awareness.

Education held a prominent place in Oluwafemi’s journey from the outset. After excelling in primary and secondary school, where he emerged as the fastest runner and a standout spelling student, he faced early challenges seeking admissions to higher education.

Academic Pursuit

After a year of pre-degree studies and a strong performance in the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) exams, Oluwafemi enrolled at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), pursuing his dream course in Chemical Engineering. His time at university extended over six years due to an additional year and the impact of academic strikes, with graduation finally achieved in 2017.

Oluwafemi’s passion for learning extended into technical domains — teaching himself web design basics (php, html, css, JavaScript) as early as 2012, which later provided the foundation for his IT pursuits.

• Technology & IT: Pivoted to IT upon relocating to Germany, aided by self-taught experience and foundational web skills. Held roles such as Internal Coordinator and IT Technician at Each One Teach One e.V., interned at Potentiale GmbH, and took on roles in Windows and Linux systems administration, steadily advancing to DevOps and Python certification.
