She pursued higher education at Capital University, where she trained to become a registered nurse. Shelby is currently practicing as a registered nurse specializing in oncology infusion. She feels a deep sense of purpose supporting patients through the various stages of their cancer journeys, celebrating their milestones and being present for both difficult and brighter days.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Shelby is devoted to her family. She shares a unique bond with her oldest son through their mutual love for building and collecting Legos and other collectibles—hobbies that foster creativity and quality family time.
