Nicole Bridges was born and raised in Canada, growing up in a family that prioritized togetherness over material possessions. Despite facing financial constraints during her childhood, Nicole’s parents ensured that she and her siblings were surrounded by love and support, creating a close-knit and memory-rich environment that emphasized the value of family time.

Nicole is the middle child, with an older sister and a younger brother. Family bonds were a foundation of her upbringing, and her parents remain her greatest supporters alongside her husband. This nurturing atmosphere not only shaped her outlook on life but also informed her future aspirations in caregiving and education.

Nicole graduated from Lethbridge Community College in 2001 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Her formal education provided her with the tools and theoretical background necessary to pursue her passion for working with children. Since earning her degree, Nicole has remained devoted to this field, dedicating her entire professional career to the development and nurturing of young minds.

Professionally, Nicole is the owner and operator of Genuine Kids Dayhome, an in-home childcare center serving children from ages 1 to 6 in a nurturing, homelike environment. Nicole views her dayhome as more than just a business—it’s a ‘home away from home’ where children can grow, learn, and feel truly cared for.

Launching her own childcare center was transformative for Nicole. It offered an escape from what she described as a ‘toxic’ previous workplace and allowed her to regain her sense of self. The autonomy to create her program, select families who share her values, and remain close to her own children provided her with fulfillment both personally and professionally.

Known for her boundless energy and deep sense of care for those around her, Nicole is described by loved ones as hardworking to a fault. She continually seeks new opportunities and creative ventures, driven by a passion for entrepreneurship and a desire to help others realize their potential.

Nicole’s personal life is deeply intertwined with her passions and career. In 2010, she made the life-changing move to Edmonton. Shortly thereafter, on April 22nd of the same year, she met her future husband through an online dating platform. Their partnership has been marked by shared growth, resilience, and mutual support amidst life’s heavy challenges.

Family holds a particularly special place in Nicole’s heart. She is the proud mother of two children: Raine, aged 10, and Jaidyn, aged 6. Nicole always aspired to motherhood, and her role as a mother is enriched by the unique personalities and challenges of her children. Raine, who faces ADHD, OCD, anxiety, and behavioral issues, has taught Nicole the importance of unconditional love and patience. Jaidyn brings a lively, free-spirited energy to the family, always keeping everyone entertained.

Nicole is not one to rest on her laurels. Visionary and driven, her entrepreneurial ambitions extend far beyond her current achievements. One of her longstanding dreams is to open a coffee shop with an integrated children’s play area, combining her passion for cooking, baking, and childcare into a welcoming community space.

Her creativity also flourishes through her writing. Inspired by her children, Nicole authored a children’s book series available on Amazon. The stories focus on Finn and Luna, characters modeled after Raine and Jaidyn. Finn’s books address struggles with emotions and anxiety, promoting awareness and healthy coping mechanisms for young readers. Luna’s adventures celebrate free-spiritedness and discovery, encouraging curiosity and self-expression.

Nicol’s aspirations include expanding her children’s book series, empowering other entrepreneurs to build their own brands, and continuously inventing new projects that bridge her talents and passions. Nicole’s dreams are reflective of her inexhaustible drive to make a positive impact wherever her journey leads.
