Adekola Durodola

Abdul-Ghaffar Durodola, popularly known as Adekola Durodola, is a dynamic individual known for his ventures in product design and his emerging career in cybersecurity. Born and raised in Ibadan, Nigeria, Adekola has always demonstrated a blend of creativity, technical skill, and entrepreneurial spirit.

Adekola was born in 1998 in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. Growing up in a polygamous family, his childhood was filled with lively interactions and diverse family dynamics. As the youngest of three siblings, Adekola enjoyed playing football and visiting video game houses, often sneaking away from errands just for the thrill of fun. His upbringing was guided by the dual religious influences of his Muslim father and Christian mother, providing a rich cultural tapestry to his early life.

Adekola's educational journey began at As-Salam, a Muslim primary school where he thrived academically, benefiting from the private education system. His secondary education took place at Beulah Model College in Ibadan, where he not only excelled in academics but also actively participated in extracurricular activities like quizzes and sports. Although he initially dreamed of becoming a lawyer, influenced by his love for storybooks, his path ultimately led him to study civil engineering at The Polytechnic Ibadan. This decision was shaped significantly by his father's advice and a spiritual confirmation his mother received.

Professionally, Adekola is a seasoned product designer with over five years of experience. Among his notable ventures are Outfitted, a fashion look book app; Kinnected, an app designed to assist families; and Lightly, an electric tech solution. While Outfitted is particularly dear to him, he also shows entrepreneurial zeal in these partnerships. Additionally, he is gearing up for a career shift by preparing for the Security+ exam as a step into cybersecurity. In his personal time, Adekola enjoys playing bowling, video games like Call of Duty, and watching law series such as Boston Legal and The Practice.

Currently in a committed relationship, Adekola is ready to take the next step by proposing to his girlfriend. Although he never envisioned marrying at a young age, meeting and spending a year with his partner has reinforced his belief in a shared future. He expresses that she is the person he cannot imagine spending the rest of his life without.

Adekola aspires to start his own company and create products that positively impact people's lives. Besides his professional goals, he wishes to have a loving family with beautiful kids, traveling the world with them. His dreams reflect his desire to build, both literally in his professional work and metaphorically in his personal life.
