Akinloluwa Akinyemi is a Nigerian entrepreneur, 3D artist, and game developer who co-founded Dimension11, a pioneering game studio in Africa. Akinloluwa Akinyemi was born in Ibadan, Nigeria, and spent his earliest years there before his family relocated to Osogbo, a city known for its rich culture and community of civil servants. Life in Osogbo was shaped by the oscillating fortunes of governance and economic stability in Nigeria, exposing Akinloluwa from a young age to both prosperity and hardship. These fluctuations instilled in him a keen sense of adaptability, as his family and community often turned to side businesses and entrepreneurial ventures for stability. Without a single role model to follow, Akinloluwa drew lessons from a broad range of interactions and relationships, learning the importance of resourcefulness and self-reliance.

Akinloluwa’s educational journey led him to Obafemi Awolowo University, where he pursued a degree in Building despite initially aspiring to study architecture and fine arts. Attempts to switch courses were unsuccessful, prompting a deepening of his faith and teaching him valuable lessons in acceptance and flexibility. His time at university was transformative beyond the classroom: he connected with peers who shared his burgeoning interest in animation and gaming—a sector largely underrepresented in Nigeria. Together, they laid the foundations of Dimension11, marking the beginning of his career as a 3D artist and game developer.

Currently, Akinloluwa is deeply immersed in his dual pursuits of creativity and business. As a co-founder of Dimension11, he is working tirelessly on 'Legends of Orisha,' one of the first ambitious games to emerge from Nigeria and the African continent. Developing the game has been fraught with challenges, such as securing funding and mastering both the technical and business aspects of game production. Nonetheless, Akinloluwa and his team are determined to demonstrate that world-class games can be produced in Africa. Outside of professional life, he maintains a disciplined routine grounded in his Christian faith—with daily devotion, prayer, and study. He strives for balance by prioritizing health and fitness (with a budding interest in calisthenics) and allocating time for relationships and personal development. Interestingly, YouTube serves as his go-to platform for education and inspiration, reflecting his appetite for knowledge and self-improvement.
