Growing up in a nurturing and caring environment, he is the seventh child of Kisilu Kyengo and Domitila. From a young age, Charles was surrounded by supportive family members, notably his elder sister Ann Nduge, whose encouragement and guidance deeply influenced his path.

Charles's early years were full of activity and promise. As a child, he attended Katangi Primary School, where his leadership qualities became evident; he served as a prefect from class one through six and was eventually named deputy head boy in class eight. His academic excellence was consistently exhibited, as he frequently ranked among the top three students in his class.

Besides his academic pursuits, Charles participated actively in school athletics and ball games. He represented his school in county-level games for three consecutive years, marking himself as a standout athlete and earning the respect of peers and staff alike. His dedication saw him reach regional levels in athletics during his final primary school year. Faith has always formed the backbone of his life, with his Catholic upbringing in Katangi further shaping his values and worldview.

After excelling at Katangi Primary School, he broadened his secondary education experience by studying in multiple institutions, including Kikima National School and Usalala School. His academic journey culminated with sitting his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) in 2023, where he performed exceptionally well, achieving a remarkable B+ overall grade.

Charles's standout subjects included an A- in Mathematics, Biology, and Agriculture, as well as distinctions in Kiswahili and Christian Religious Education, the latter particularly notable given his faith background. His stellar performance brought joy and recognition not only to himself but also to his school, which celebrated his academic achievements with great pride.

Inspired by a blend of intellectual curiosity and community-mindedness, Charles enrolled at Mount Kenya University to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry. Football occupies a central place in his daily life—not only does he play for several teams including GFC Munene and Cropway, but he also captains Kiukuni Santos, his team in Katangi. Under his leadership, Kiukuni Santos reached the semifinals of the fourth Wavinya Cup edition, a notable achievement that further solidified his local athletic reputation. Although his team narrowly lost to Iiani FC, Charles’s contribution was widely recognized, earning him the status of web captain.

In addition to football, Charles enjoys charting, an activity that allows him to reflect, plan, and track personal progress. He is also passionate about music, with gospel being his genre of choice, reflecting his deep-rooted Catholic faith and desire for spiritual growth. These hobbies not only serve as outlets for relaxation but also strengthen his social relationships.

Charles’s character is meticulously built around several guiding principles, including self-initiative, caring, patience, hard work, humility, and honesty.
