Adesida Paul Adeshina is a Nigerian-born occupational therapist and entrepreneur, currently based in Berlin. Renowned for his commitment to merging healthcare, business innovation, and sustainability, Adeshina’s ventures span clinical practice and startups aimed at improving food accessibility and minimizing waste. Adesida Paul Adeshina was born in Lagos, Nigeria, into a loving and supportive extended family environment. As the first child, he found himself frequently surrounded by caring uncles and aunties who were deeply invested in his upbringing. Music played a significant role in Adeshina’s childhood; some of his fondest memories include attending church services with his family, where both singing and supporting the choir became cherished activities. His mother’s passion for music strongly influenced him and fostered an ongoing love for singing and drumming that would last into adulthood.

Beyond his clinical expertise and entrepreneurial activities, Adeshina has a diverse range of interests and experiences. He previously played drums and continues to enjoy singing—a passion influenced by his musical family background. Adventure and outdoor activities occupy a prominent place in his life; he delights in hiking, camping, and road travel, preferring overland journeys for the opportunity to experience different landscapes firsthand.

Professionally, Adeshina practices as an occupational therapist specializing in neurorehabilitation and functional movement recovery, based in Berlin, Germany. At the same time, he co-founded PicksNCarts, a Lagos-based startup focused on curbing food and grocery waste while improving access to affordable food for students and low-income families. By partnering with local supermarkets, restaurants, and grocery stores, the company ensures surplus food—often approaching best-use dates—is sold at discounted rates, reducing environmental impact and enhancing food security for vulnerable populations.

Throughout his journey, Adeshina’s family has remained a key pillar of support. His wife, mother, siblings, and close friends—including mentors in Berlin—have played instrumental roles in guiding his decisions and inspiring his projects.

Adeshina’s emotional and romantic life blossomed during his educational journey. He met his wife, an equally passionate clinician dedicated to working with children, while they were both in school. Their connection developed from a deep friendship, anchored in mutual respect and admiration for each other's intelligence and character. When Adeshina mustered the courage to express his feelings, his wife responded with a creatively written poem, symbolically accepting his proposal—a memorable and heartfelt milestone in their relationship. Together, they have built a partnership rooted in shared professional values, strong faith, and support for one another’s dreams.
